Let’s go over how to create your first order using Songimate: 

First, you’re going to want to click on the “Start My Song” link to get started. 

Next, you’ll be prompted to answer several questions such as: what’s the occasion, genre (style of music), mood, tempo (speed) etc. You’ll also be able to choose an artist from our website if you’d like to (you’ll need to return to the questions after finding the Songwriter you'd like) then pick that songwriter from the list. You can also click "Start My Song" to jump back to your place in the questionnaire). Choose “No Preference” and we’ll take care of most questions for you – A great option if this is your first time creating an order with us.  

Then, you’re asked “Would you like to add Animation to your song”? We offer a Custom Song with or without Animation, essentially a Custom Animated Music Video. At this time we do not offer animation without the accompaniment of a song. Please note, if you want animation we need a clear image (photo) of the people that are referenced in the song. A clear image of the face and body, otherwise we will have to use our imagination :). For example, an anniversary song would require a photo of you and your partner. We then create animation based off of the song lyrics. We offer 2 characters included with each animation purchase. If you’d like to add more characters we can accommodate. However, there is a fee to add additional characters as it takes a considerable amount of time to create each character. If uploading more than one photo please “Zip” the file as our uploader only receives one file at a time. 

Next, “What do you want to say in this song”? It's asking you to share your story with us. You don’t need to be a professional writer to do this, that’s why you hired us :). But simply put, we need a story to write a song for you. Think about it this way: if you don’t give us much to write about there won’t be much the songwriter can use to write your song. The more info you share with us the more personal it will be. For example: if it’s my anniversary I might write how I met my girlfriend, how she makes me feel when I’m with her, how I love her dog Miles and all the trips to the beach/traveling we did together – how i’m so happy that we’re together etc. You see? It’s building a story, something the songwriter can use to craft a memorable song. Don’t be afraid to share here, we won’t share your story with anyone else. 

last, “What absolutely must be said in your song”? Things Like Happy Anniversary, Baby! Or, I love you, Rebecca! Or, Merry Christmas, John! What you say here will be used in this song. The better you can articulate your story, the more personalized your song will be. 

And that’s it! Upon completion, you’ll receive your order within 7 days (for Song alone) & 14 days (for Song with Animation). You’ll then receive an email with a link displaying your order – which you can view/stream/share and or download, it’s your link.
